Chart Your Holokai

Coming to and studying at BYU–Hawaii is a voyage, or holokai, as students progress in knowledge and understanding. Students at BYU–Hawaii chart their own academic voyages and plan out individual paths to graduation and future destinations by combining a major with two minors or certificates.

Study With Faith

As developing disciples of Christ, students at BYU–Hawaii devote a portion of their study to the doctrine and history of Jesus Christ and His Church. This religious education strengthens their spiritual foundation, aligning with the university's mission to prepare graduates who are committed to Christlike leadership and service in their families, communities, and throughout the world.

Academic Calendar

BYU–Hawaii's academic year is broken up into three semesters: fall, winter, and spring. The fall and winter semesters are 15 weeks long while the spring semester is nine weeks long. Summer break is seven weeks long and allows students to take a break from studying or increase work their hours. Students should stay up to date with important dates and deadlines for registering, adding, and dropping classes.
